We acquired a new dog recently as a stray. She is a great dog with no issues except for one. When we are at work, she sleeps on the couch or our bed. We fixed the bed issue by simply closing the door. I know its the new dog that is drooling and leaving hair all over my suede couch because our other dog has long hair and has never done this. When we are home she doesn’t even attempt to get on the couch at all. Is there a way short of kenneling her that will fix the issue? I don’t know how to train a dog when noone is present.

Scat mat. Sold in many stores. It emits a low level of static shock when the dog touches it. Saves furniture too…
