How to prevent a chihuahua from having pups without hurting her?Can i feed something,so she can lose the pups?

A stray dog got her pregnant, the dog is like 3 times her size. Can she have the pups without dying? I really don’t want to lose her but I really can’t afford to take her to the vet anytime soon.

Take her to the vet. You have too. If you cant afford it then give her to someone who can.

I have four kittens that were born under my house and are wild. How do I tame them? Any ideas?

I’ve already tried to use fishy-smelling canned food so they will come to eat and I can pet them. But, when I try to pick them up, they run or scratch me. I need to speed this up. They’re about 12 weeks old and I need to give them away before THEY start having kittens themselves. No one will take a wild kitten.

You should take them in your house and spend lots of time petting them and everything, if that doesn’t work you should call an animal control.

I am looking about getting a dog but I have some in mind?

I want a dog that won’t cost me a fortune to get. I need a dog that is good with kids, a companion, a smaller size ( I would like a lap dog to be with me and snuggle) , one that doesn’t shed like crazy ( I have a Rottweiler and I can’t keep up with how much he sheds but we are not getting rid of him he is just getting older). Also one that can guard the house, one that is playful, and lives for a long time. So I have found some I like but I don’t know much about about them, so maybe their are so dog experts that know a dog that’s fits all or most of the qualities. But it has to be small and no shedding. So I have:
– Havanese
– Maltese
– Jack Russel
– Golden Retriever
– Labrador Retriever
– Belgian Shepherd
– Alaskan Malamute
– Siberian Husky
I know some are a larger breed and I want a smaller dog but some are just so cute but if you recommend one that fits the qualities that please tell me 🙂
I saw the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel suggestion and I did not like them they would not train they jumped on the tables and ate the cats food and went to the bathroom on the floor. And i know I wont find a small guard dog so probably wont get one like that. I might go to the Animal shelter to find a dog with the qualities I need 🙂
If you could add the amount the dog would cost. I don’t wont to spent $ 2,000 on a dog , no more the $ 50 and that’s stretching it. How much would it be to get one from the Animal Shelter?
I am getting a lot about cuteness…. Let me say I am not basing it on cute. I will do research first before i get the dog. I have a dog not but. I must so I am not an adult. I want to get a dog small so it can be in my room. I don’t need a guard dog for my room. I don’t want dog fur all over my bed when the dog is sleeping with me and while I am at school. I have a small room but a big back yard. I want a playful dog. and i have a 2 year old sister and one on the way. (my mom had me young i am not a 7 year old girl who thinks my mommy and daddy will love the doggy, NO I am older I will not say my age but i am older I am in high school.) I want to get a little dog. One that does not yap and bark all the time. I did I have a book and I am aware of some of the health issues the dogs have. I MOST CERTAINLY WILL DO RESEARCH BEFORE I GET THE DOG. I am not stupid and i will not starve the dog and not play with it causing the dog to become a mean dog.
Also is it possible to have a soft kind of fluffy low shed dog?

My 7 week old puppy has worms, what kind are they and how do I treat them?

My 7 week old Siberian Husky puppy has worms. They are flat and thin and white. My question is, can a puppy as young as 7 weeks be administered worm medicine and if so, what kind should I get? Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

p.s. Can these worms be passed to humans?

They are Tapeworms for sure…yes they can be passed to humans & you should take your puppy to the vet…they will know just what to give her…over the counter stuff probably won’t work…P.S. Tapeworms come from Fleas…so chances are u need to get rid of those also…good luck!

It might be because of the genes. A cat can get pregnant by multiple male cats at once. It may be it’s metabolism or maybe it just eats a lot.

What dog breed out of these should I get?

This is about my family: We have a cat, a big yard, both of my parents work. I am willing to walk and play with the dog. We want a dog that doesn’t bark a lot, but is playful.

Here are the choices we are considering. What do you think?

(No order)

Samoyed
Shiba inu
Golden Retriever
Beagle
Pug
Siberian Husky
Lab
Keeshond
Cockerspaniel
German Shepeard
All of them are the types we want. We don’t know which would be BEST.

Shepard or husky, i love both of mine. Very playful, smart, and highly protective… but in a good way. You just have to teach them not to bark.

Why is my dog acting strange?

My friend’s dog has been acting very strange. She’s been quivering a lot and pooping in her sleep. Also, she’s having sudden mood swings and is more vocal than usual. She’s a siberian husky, akita mix, about 10-11 years old and weighs 74 lbs. Do you have any idea what might be wrong with her?

How long does it take for a dog to get over Parvo?

I adopted a 8 week old pit bull puppy May 28th. When I brought him home I noticed he had a little bit of a cough I dismissed it because it was no alarming. During the week I’ve had him he’s vomited and had a mean cough. I do my best to rehydrate him and give him his medicine but he cant keep anything down. The vet told me that his chance are not good so I’ve decided that I’m going to try to treat him at home. The vet told me that he would be vomiting or pooping blood. When does that occur? and how long does this take to beat usually?

Without proper vet treatment? It’s unlikely he WILL get over it.

WITH vet treatment it’s often a 50/50 chance the dog even survives. Do you think he really has a good chance at home?

I just answered a question for someone last night who was asking about at-home care for his dog with parvo. Granted, the dog seemed further into parvo than your own.. His dog couldn’t even move. But long story short, he wanted to wait till 8 am the next morning for vet treatment. The dog died overnight. And this may be your scenario as well if you don’t act fast and get this dog back to a vet. Preferably a good vet.

Parvo is NOT an illness to be taken lightly. At all.

You should do some research before you just go out and get one cause you want a kitty…..at least to be fair to the poor cat..

Feed it kitten food. If you go to a pet store, look at the more expensive stuff (liek Science Diet) and read the bag. It’ll tell you how much you’re supposed to feed it per day. Then look at a cheap bag….it’ll say at least twice as much cause of fillers and crap they put in it, like corn (corn doesn’t digest).

Get a litterbox. Litterbox liners are very handy too. And a scoop and litter, of course. I like the kind in the orange box (can’t remember the name). The one that says it eliminates both urine and feces odours.

Get toys! Cat’s can see reds best and blues and greens the least, I believe. Also….a scratching post. My mom just bought my kittin one of those cardboard things…it’s in the shape of a fish and he friggin loves the thing! And doesn’t claw my chairs anymore.

ALWAYS have fresh water out for it. Cats need tons of fresh water. No milk. Once they’re done weening, milk is actually bad for cats.

This site is awesome. It even shows you how a cat sees 🙂
