My dog has Cognitive Disfunction Syndrome (CSD), and is currently on medication that is sortof working (Anipryl).
My dog seems to act like a total maniac when her eyes are dilated and this usually happens twice a day for about an hour each time.
Is she in pain and that is causing the eyes to be dilated?
Or is there another explanation?
My vet is not able to answer this because she has never seen it, so I am reaching out to see if anyone has any experience with this dog disease.

Is she having a reaction to the meds? She is probably scared when her eyes are dilated because she can’t focus properly and has sensitivity to light until they return to normal – just like when you have your eyes dilated at an eye appointment. You might consider leaving her with your vet for the day so she can be monitored. If the vet can’t give you an answer, it might be time to find another vet.
